YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK, READ AND WRITE ENGLISH. IF NOT, AN APPOINTMENT WILL BE NEEDED SO A TRANSLATOR CAN BE ARRANGED.
THERE IS NO WAITING PERIOD AFTER THE LICENSE IS ISSUED. THE LICENSE IS VALID FOR ONLY 60 DAYS.

Marriage Performed:
According to IC 31-11-6-1 and IC 33-4-7-4, members of the clergy may perform marriages (including a minister, priest, bishop, rabbi, imam, etc.) Judge, magistrate, clerk or deputy clerk of the Circuit court or a clerk or clerk-treasurer of a city or town.
License Expiration:
A marriage license expires sixty (60) days after it is issued and is only valid in the State of Indiana. Your will receive the license the same day that you apply.
Getting a Copy of Your License:
Certified copies of your license are available in our office for $2.00. You may obtain a copy by writing to our office. Please include the maiden name of the bride, the groom's name and the date of the wedding. Include a check or money order for the correct fee. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
